VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT CHEQUES

We rely on volunteers to run our hockey program.  These volunteers include Coaches, Team Managers, Evaluators, Board Members, Bingo/Casino workers and General Volunteers.  The volunteer commitment is determined by the category in which each player plays.  Refer to the Volunteer Commitment Policy for the number of commitments required and the volunteer commitment opportunities.

Volunteer Commitment cheques will be collected at your child’s first evaluation. ALL parents must bring one post-dated cheque for $250.00 for each player commitment.  The first cheque will be dated December 15, 2010 and the subsequent cheque will be dated for February 15, 2011.  The cheques will be destroyed (or returned if requested) once the volunteer commitments have been completed or will be cashed should the commitment(s) not be fulfilled. Remember no Volunteer cheques at the first evaluation session will mean no evaluation ice time for your child(ren)!

BINGO DATES

Please note that bingo dates will be assigned to teams rather than individuals this season.  It will be the responsibility of each Team Manager to ensure parents meet their Bingo commitments.

PROOF OF AGE

ALL parents MUST now bring proof of their child’s age to the first evaluation (Birth Certificate, Passport or any other Government Issued Official Document showing Date of Birth).

Remember no Proof of Age at the first evaluation session will mean no evaluation ice time for your child(ren)!

CONDITIONING CAMPS

Once again, Glenlake Hockey will be offering August Conditioning Camps for Novice, Atom and Peewee aged players.  The camps will be run by Glenlake and will allow the players to work on skating, stick handling, shooting, and passing.

Please note that Glenlake will still be holding a separate Peewee checking camp for all registered Peewee players. Checking Clinic is free and compulsory for all new Peewee players.

In order to participate in the camps, your on-line registration and payment must be completed.  Registration for the camps can only be done during the on-line registration process.

Register early, as registration is limited to 30 skaters for Conditioning and Defender’s Camps and 16 for the Goalie Camp. First come first serve basis.
